PAINTER UPGRADE

Painter used to be one of the best apps out there, a true rival to photoshop, and much better to draw in, however, since Corel's acquisition of the software, there have been very few improvements and the prices they charge for their lacklustre upgrades are outrageous, in fact both adobe and corel are equally guilty of overcharging, which is stupid as everyone knows that photoshop is the most pirated software in existence.

Corel would do well to cut their prices, they would undoubtedly increase the popularity of this basically fine software and should make more money as a result, after all they do very little development to it and must be basically lining their pockets without deserving it.

A couple of things to look out for: Painter has yet to enable a save as PNG function and saving alpha channels in some formats are a nightmare, ironically save as psd then open the file in photoshop to save png or tiff etc. seems to have been the best solution for some time- get your act together Corel!
